I'm Guesting on Copyblogger Today

If you’re looking for some great advice on how to mess up your big guest posting opportunity, you’re in luck. I’ve used my big guest posting opportunity over at Copyblogger to explain how you too can blow your big chance.

So, if you’d all like to head over to Copyblogger and check out 7 Mistakes that Lead to Guest Post Failure, that’d be grand.

However, this isn’t a one-way street. Chances are that some of you reading this have ended up here from Copyblogger. In that case, you’re probably wondering who on earth I am. In that case, pull up a pew and find out.

Who Are You?

I’m Andrew Nattan, a copywriter from Salford in Manchester, UK. I’ve been known to blog about social media and SEO from time to time, but my speciality is providing copywriting and blogging advice in an amusing and usually caustic manner.

It goes without saying that you should follow me on Twitter and subscribe to the Unmemorable Title RSS feed, but if you require a little more convincing, you should read a few of my favourite posts.

My Favourite Unmemorable Title Posts:

5: Twadges You Don’t Want to Earn

“Twadge” is a horrendous portmanteau word for a Twitter badge. You earn a Twadge by jumping through weird and wonderful hoops, and this apparently makes people money. Regardless, I came up with a few suggestions for Twadges that you wouldn’t want to display on your page.

2. Laura Wilde Bings and Decides

SEOs waste millions of pixels explaining why a particular search engine is useable or not. Conveniently forgetting that 99% of a search engine’s user base won’t have a clue how the things work. Congrats on the resourceful guest post on CopyBlogger, Andrew. Reverse psychology works wonders. Something about “don’t” that makes people “do”. 🙂 I, too, would like to guest post on CopyBlogger, but I doubt the nature of my blog would increase my eligibility. Oh well, there’s you to do it, and oh-so masterfully. 🙂 Good job, man.

Hey, you never know unless you try… Then again, I’d be wary of giving Susan Boyle any publicity 😉

I enjoyed your post on Copyblogger. I am just beginning to branch out of my comfort zone to write guest posts. I will take your advice to heart.

Hey, Andrew, I was wondering what to do with the recent guest posts I’ve had on Copyblogger — rerun them on my blog? Point my readers to Copyblogger? And what about my other guest posts — what’s the best way to let my readers know about them, while still welcoming the new readers that come from the blog I’m writing for? You’ve provided the perfect answer with what you do on your blog. Brilliant. Thanks so much!
    Marcia
